Assistant editor at Property Week, Tim Danaher, is taking up his first editorship at the helm of relaunched Retail Week.
Danaher joined Property Week six years ago as a graduate trainee. He worked his way through the ranks and also wrote about commercial property for the Evening Standard .
Retail Week, which has a circulation of 11,808, has made some major changes including a new masthead, a smaller format and more in-depth feature content.
Danaher said: “I have had a fantastic time here and I wouldn’t have left to go to many B2B titles. It was also a great opportunity to move on to become an editor in such an exciting sector and at such an exciting time for the magazine.
“The team’s done a fantastic job on the relaunch. There will be more hard-hitting news and features, I think it can be even better on that front.”
Retail Week’s previous editor, Neill Denny, moved to become editor-in-chief at The Bookseller on the day of the relaunch. Danaher takes his place in January.
