A pointless use of the FoI Act

It’s no wonder so many places are refusing to do FoI requests
quickly when you have people like Steve Weatherill winding up local
authorities with seemingly pointless requests about Christmas parties –
in February ( Press Gazette , 4 February).

If the paper did have a “good relationship”

with the hospital, what could be gained from this cavalier attitude?

I
have no idea what the paper was hoping to find out about the cost of
the trust’s festivities, but I hope the story is good enough to justify
upsetting a key local body.
