December ABCs: Daily Mirror drops below a million

The Mirror has dropped below an average of one million sales for the month of December according to new ABC figures released today.

The tabloid saw its year-on-year circulation figure fall by 6.71 percent to 965,248. This was repeated at the Sunday Mirror which also fell through the one million barrier, slumping to 934,501.

Of all daily and Sunday newspapers only the i recorded a 0.4 circulation increase over December 2012 with an average of 292,488.

The Guardian’s sale remained stable, dropping by 0.56 percent to 203,069.

However, the Financial Times dropped by 17.41 percent to 236,528.

The Daily Star Sunday also decreased circulation by 16.28 percent to 302,031.

The Independent and Independent on Sunday  fell by 13.85 and 12.24 percent respectively. The daily edition had an average circulation of 67,266 of which 16,528 were bulks.
