For the 44th year in succession, former staff members of the News Chronicle will attend a reunion in London to mark the newspaper’s closure in 1960.
Sold with its sister paper, the London Evening Star, the Chronicle was merged overnight with the Daily Mail.
Survivors from the editorial staff have attended annual reunions ever since and more than 20 are expected at this year’s buffet lunch on Monday, 18 October at The Witness Box in Tudor Street (formerly The Feathers).
Former staff who have not received an invitation are urged to contact Betty Thomson (formerly reporter Betty Williams) on 020 8973 3825.
