Beale: delighted with his new look
rena associate editor Steve Beale has had £20,000 worth of cosmetic surgery for a feature in the magazine.
Beale, who put himself through botox, breast reduction, hair removal, a complete new set of teeth and liposuction, losing 2.5 litres of fat, said he at last felt “normal”.
The 10-page article focuses on the increasing popularity of “corrective” surgery as opposed to enhancements that would have earned him a six pack.
“I had my man breasts removed, a set of teeth worth £12,000 put in and hair removed from my back. I had my eyebrows done and they took two and a half litres of fat from my stomach and boobs,” he said.
The surgery took two and a half months to complete. Beale said the worst part was the liposuction and breast removal on the hottest day of the year. “I had to wear a corset with all the blood, sweat and grime underneath,” he said.
“You do wonder if all the stuff is worth it just for your appearance, but I’m very pleased with the result.”
The feature appears in the January edition of Arena, which is out this week.
