For those who remain opposed to the embedding system, the latest bulletin from the International Federation of Journalists makes sobering reading. It reports that last week the death toll of journalists, their support workers and other media employees in 2004 has broken the 100 barrier. Nearly two-thirds of them died in Iraq.
