Fly Fishing and Fly Tying, Homes & Interiors Scotland and Scottish Field are among the titles shortlisted for magazine of the year at the first Scottish Magazine Awards.
Organised by PPA Scotland, the awards have seen almost 100 entries, ranging from the worlds of business and entertainment to religion and medical science, whittled down to a shortlist of 30 for the 10 categories.
The judging team was impressed by the high quality of entries, as well as the enthusiasm shown for the event. Pat Roberts Cairns, editorial consultant and former editor of Good Housekeeping, chaired a panel of eight including Mike Soutar, editorial director, IPC Media; Ally Palmer of The Herald; Redwood editorial director Christopher Ward; and Euan Jarvie, managing director of MediaCom Scotland.
